The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record of designing and producing DPSS products that are on the market. Requires overall experience in the solid state laser system architecture (medical product applications are preferable) and a thorough understanding of all optical, electrical, mechanical, and thermal issues that are considered during and within a DPSS design. For consideration, you must possess an MS or Ph.D. in Laser Systems Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis in Lasers and Optics. This project engineering role requires the ability to manage contract resources, fully plan and carry out own assignments. The development group requires a team player with good verbal and written communication skills and a demonstrated commitment to meeting schedule and project milestones. SENIOR ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - Embedded Systems Design Seek senior electrical engineer capable of design and development of embedded systems. The individual will be responsible for embedded system design, implementation, integration, testing and documenting the product design in a multi-functional team environment. Requires BSEE and a minimum of 7 years experience, CAD (OrCAD & MathCAD preferred) design tools, strong written and verbal communication skills. Experience with embedded systems design with 16 and 32-bit micro controllers, MathCAD data analysis, EPLD/FPGA design using VHDL, transducers, stepper motors, brushless DC motors, and related electro-mechanical devices preferred. C programming skills, ability to write test code for hardware designs, and experience with medical device development a plus. MECHANICAL PRODUCT DESIGN / RESEARCH ENGINEER Immediate opportunity for a Mechanical R&D Engineer responsible for conducting independent and cooperative applied research to identify and investigate emerging technologies critical to the development of new cutting instruments for vitreoretinal surgery. In this capacity, you will provide ongoing technical engineering support to instrument product design teams, clinical evaluation efforts for new product development and technology transfer into full-scale commercial production. Qualifications: BS Mechanical Engineering degree with 8-12 years of experience in medical product research and development. Requires a proven technical accomplishment record as evidenced by direct design accountability for commercialized product development, innovative mechanism solutions, patent awards relating to medical devices and implementation of advanced technology in electro-mechanical systems. A broad background and knowledge in the design of various medical cutting and probe instruments and proficiency in Pro-E modeling/designing is strongly preferred. Familiarity with various metal/plastic materials, pneumatic systems, electro-mechanical controls, analytical fluid/air flow, Labview software and MEMS is desired. ENTERPRISE LEVEL NATIVE .NET APPLICATION ARCHITECT Fortune 100 company requires proven GUI architect, with track record delivering production software.  New core architecture will require platform deliverables written with .NET using C#, entirely component-based. Event based experience required. HTTP / XML communications with remote server. Must have a demonstrated background in formal software process. Qualified applicant will have a minimum 10 years experience architecting large applications for major production environments, .NET expertise must be demonstrated. MS Computer Science minimum. ENTERPRISE LEVEL DATABASE ARCHITECT The qualified applicant will have senior or architect level experience with large, high performance, scalable distributed applications. Our team environment includes working with network engineers to efficiently design & plan high capacity network access to database servers & web application servers based on the latest Microsoft .NET technology. You will design and implement mission critical data processes for high-demand, high-availability data access. Minimum 6 years experience in production environments, with experience in MS-SQL server hardware & software optimization, replication, database integrity, data migration, stored procedures and server functions, as well as data normalization and design for maximum efficiency. Familiarity with general accounting, product tracking, invoicing, manufacturing tracking, inventory, order processing and similar. MS in Computer Science. PRINCIPLE COLOR SCIENTIST - LASER PRINTING DEVELOPMENT Analyze, design and develop color technologies to support laser printing devices. Responsibilities include architectural definitions for software, software design, and specifications. Job Requirements: 10 years focus in practical color experience. Proven product development in the application of color technologies and imaging sciences.  Color half toning is a must,  error diffusion and application mandatory.  Color management and calibration techniques required. Development of color modules for laser printers. Ability to develop color libraries, experience in color depths: 1,2,4,8,256. Education: prefer MS/CS. Experience with Windows or Linux printer drivers, multifunction peripheral expertise desirable. SENIOR SOFTWARE ENGINEER / TROUBLESHOOTER - MIXED PLATFORMS Agressive & prominent solutions company requires engineer with proven track record, and broad experience in a diverse range of software & hardware development.  Skills will include experience with multiple operating systems, including MS-Windows, Mac OS, Palm OS, Windows CE, Linux, Unix.  Multiple language skills should be apparent with emphasis on MS .NET, C#, C++, VB, SQL, ASP, HTML, XML, HTTP, Windows DDK & SDK, dBase, Internet & web applications, various batch & script languages.  Experienced with hardware selection and optimization.  Experienced with networking, routing. Debugging desktop & workstation setup. Broad background in accounting, scientific instrumentation, driver level debugging, mobil applications. The qualified candidate will have 8-10+ years of demonstrable success, education not as urgent as experience. Must be able to quickly assimilate legacy code, create bug-fixes and patches, working at system and applications level.  Must be able to design new solutions for various environments, and be self-starting when placed into new and unusual situations.  Personable, outgoing, good communication and presentation skills, as interact with all levels of our organization.
